E2 Mentors

Do you want to make a difference?

When we support the growth and empowerment of women and girls, we raise the quality of life for everyone. This is because when women lead they not only lead businesses, they lead in their community, they fight for their children, and they give voice to issues that are important to our collective future — like education and health care.

Is E2 mentoring for you?

If you are passionate about helping young women realize their future potential, then join the community of E2 Mentors here.

What does mentoring entail?

JA of Central Texas wants the mentors to shape the E2 Mentor Group. We have listed involvement and membership suggestions below, and encourage you to come up with new ideas as you shape the E2 Mentor Group.

  • Attend two or more E2 Mentor Group meetings with E2 participants over the course of the next year at participating high school locations
  • Engage in an online forum with the E2 participants to keep in touch and answer questions around business and the next steps in their career development
  • Help the E2 participants plan the 2018 E2 Summit and groom their skills to be a peer mentor next year
  • Volunteer as a JA Company Program® advisor in the 2017-2018 school year.

What is the JA Company Program®?

In the JA Company Program, participants start up, launch and run an actual business. Participants learn from local business leaders who deliver hands-on, creative and interactive curriculum and provide real-world perspective. The program includes a friendly pitch competition. It's a learning opportunity for young people who are close to being in a world full of financial responsibility and opportunity.
