JA Company Program® 

JA Company Program unlocks the innate ability in high school students to fill a need or solve a problem in their community by launching a business venture and unleashing their entrepreneurial spirit. The program focuses on Company Ops, the majority of meeting time, where students build and manage their business. Meeting-specific, student-friendly materials and resources increase student interaction and emphasize JA’s experiential approach to learning.

Time Commitment: You choose the dates and times to volunteer from the schedule below.  

 Training: Attend a JA Program Training where you'll receive materials and training prior to your class visit. 

Program Starts: June 7th

JA Our Region®

JA Our Region introduces students to entrepreneurship and how entrepreneurs use resources to produce goods and services in a region. Students operate a hypothetical hot dog stand to understand the fundamental tasks performed by a business owner and to track the revenue and expenses of a business. 

Time Commitment: The program is a one-day program, lasting from 10:30 am - 3:00 pm.

Training:  Attend a JA Program Training where you'll receive materials and training prior to class start date.   

Class Dates:    Thursday June 7th and Thursday June 14th         

                              

JA Our Nation®

JA Our Nation provides practical information about the need for employees who can meet the demands of the 21st century job market, particularly high-growth, high-demand jobs. By program's end, students will understand the skills, especially in science, technology, engineering, and math, that will make their futures brighter.  

Time Commitment: The program is a one-day program, lasting from 10:30 am - 3:00 pm.

Training:  Attend a JA Program Training where you'll receive materials and training prior to class start date.   

Class Dates:    Thursday June 21st and Thursday June 28th         

    

JA It's My Business®

JA It's My Business provides students an opportunity to learn how to turn an idea into a business. The program introduces students to the process of design thinking as a problem- solving process and provides an authentic entrepreneurial experience for students with each session building toward a product-pitch competition.

Time Commitment: The program is a one-day program, lasting from 10:30 am - 3:00 pm.

Training:  Attend a JA Program Training where you'll receive materials and training prior to class start date.   

Class Dates:    Thursday July 5th and Thursday July 12th
