JA Financial Literacy

Join us on April 11th for a day of financial literacy education. We will cover a range of topics from credit vs. Debit cards to installment debt and budgeting. Our goal is to instill proper budgeting, credit & debit, and investment skills to help students see their future and be financially prepared to achieve their goals. 

  • Time Commitment: One day visit to the school, ~8:30-12:30

  • Training: Attend a JA Program Training where you'll receive materials and training prior to class.

JA Launch Lesson® 

JA Launch Lesson™ is a point-of-entry program delivered by community entrepreneurs. Students gain firsthand knowledge about starting a business and the entrepreneurial journey. During the one hour visit, a local entrepreneur will share what inspired them to start their own business as well as provide an overview of their professional journey. The purpose of a JA Launch Lesson is to engage students in an inspirational experience that explores entrepreneurship and highlights the opportunities, challenges and preparation required for success.

  • Time Commitment: One, 1 hour visit to the school to deliver your JA Launch Lesson.

  • Training: Not Required- work with JA to understand the purpose and perfect your presentation

  • Date: April 11, 2019

  • Class Times: 8:30-12:30
