Programs
Junior Achievement programs offer a wide variety of business people the opportunity to apply their expertise to the educational needs of our communities' students from kindergarten through the 12th grade in an effective fun way. All needed materials and training are provided. Although programs are on a volunteer basis, they promote staff development and are generally conducted during regular and after school hours.
Our programs are funded by businesses and individuals, and are designed to be taught in the classroom by business, parent, and community volunteers. Classroom volunteers make economic concepts relevant, fuel the entrepreneurial spirit, and challenge the students to excel. JA's unique delivery system provides the training, materials, and support necessary to ensure a positive experience. Our materials include curriculum for elementary, middle and high school students.
Junior Achievement programs give young people practical, engaging, and informative activities that educate them about business and economics and help prepare them for fulfilling careers. The programs complement the class curricula and are easily integrated into the lesson plans of each grade level.
Each of the Junior Achievement programs is designed for a particular age group and introduces students to important economic concepts that will ultimately enhance their understanding of the world around them. JA's sequential and integrated kindergarten through grade 12 programs help young people use information, apply basic skills, think critically, and solve complex problems.
