Lindsey Goldsmith
COMMUNICATIONs Intern

What brought you to Austin?
I grew up in North Austin and graduated from Westwood High School. I attend school at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, and I work with JA as an intern.

Who inspired you?
My mother and father largely inspire me every day. They have done so much to give me a great education and continue to guide me through life.

Favorite Austin business?
InStep is an Austin Birkenstock store that I like very much. The workers are very friendly and the shoes are always trendy.

Why Junior Achievement?
I am so grateful for the educational guidance that I received through school. I know that there are many kids who do not get the same guidance. I love JA because it helps kids, no matter where they are from, believe that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. JA gives a very tangible solution to many equal opportunity issues and helps kids believe that they can be a part of something larger than themselves.

What is some advice you would give your high school self?
Sleep is more important than you think. Sometimes you must put your personal health before other people’s expectations.
