JA Launch Lesson Teacher Request

Thank you for your interest in bringing entrepreneurs into your classroom! The JA Launch Lesson is a 60-minute educational experience built around the theme of entrepreneurship. It is delivered locally in classrooms, after-school facilities, and other student venues. During your JA Launch Lesson, a local entrepreneur will share what inspired them to start their own business as well as provide an overview of their professional journey. These lessons help open students' eyes to the opportunities provided by a future in entrepreneurship.

The JA Launch Lesson serves as an introduction to Junior Achievement. The experience, while different from our TEKS aligned curriculum-based programs, allows you to get to know our staff and the range of programs we offer.  This experience is available free of charge to all area schools - public, charter and private. We also arrange JA Launch Lessons for local non-profit partners and out-of-school enrichment opportunities such as Boys and Girls Clubs, STEM camp programs and scouting organizations. We work with a diverse group of entrepreneurs from all stages of business to provide a speaker who can connect with your students and share relevant business experience.

Junior Achievement of Central Texas kicks off the JA Launch Lesson program each November during Global Entrepreneurship Week. The program is available year-round, so please let us know what suits your needs and we’ll work to match your students with a great entrepreneur.
