JA Be Entrepreneurial® - Fall 2024

Program and Description: JA Be Entrepreneurial introduces students to the essential elements of a practical business plan and then challenges them to start an entrepreneurial venture while still in high school. Students will learn about advertising, competitive advantages, financing, marketing, and product development.

• Duration: One hour weekly, 8 weeks

• Training: Attend a JA Program Training where you'll receive materials and training prior to class.

• Volunteer need: 1 - 2 per class

• Start Date: September 18 & 19

JA COMPANY PROGRAM® - January, 2025

Program and Description: JA Company Program empowers high school students to fill a need or solve a problem in their community and teaches them practical skills required to conceptualize, capitalize, and manage their own business venture. Community volunteers and mentors provide real-world guidance and experience to the student-led startup.

• Duration: One hour weekly for 12 weeks

• Start Date: January, 2025

• Volunteer need: 1 to 2 in-person volunteers per class. Spanish Speakers are a plus!
