JA Be Entrepreneurial® - Fall 2024
Program and Description: JA Be Entrepreneurial introduces students to the essential elements of a practical business plan and then challenges them to start an entrepreneurial venture while still in high school. Students will learn about advertising, competitive advantages, financing, marketing, and product development.
Duration: One hour weekly, 8 weeks
Training: Attend a JA Program Training where you'll receive materials and training prior to class.
Volunteer need: 1 - 2 per class

JA IT’S MY BUSINESS® - Fall 2024
Program and Description: JA It's My Business! provides students an opportunity to learn how to turn an idea into a business. The program introduces students to the process of design thinking as a problem-solving process and provides an authentic entrepreneurial experience for students, with each session building toward a product-pitch competition.
Time Commitment: One hour per week for Six-week program with a culminating pitch competition.
Training: Attend a JA Program Training where you'll receive materials and training prior to class.
Start Date: October
Volunteer need: 1 or 2 in-person volunteers per class.

JA COMPANY PROGRAM® - Fall 2024
Program and Description: JA Company Program empowers high school students to fill a need or solve a problem in their community and teaches them practical skills required to conceptualize, capitalize, and manage their own business venture. Community volunteers and mentors provide real-world guidance and experience to the student-led startup.
Duration: Each class is one hour long. Spring Semester
Start Date: TBD
Volunteer need: 1-2 in-person volunteers per class. Spanish Speakers are a plus!
